The Dixon, London

Design & build conversion of the Grade II listed Tower Bridge Magistrates Court and Police Station built in 1904, and the addition of a new build extension to the rear.

Following the extensive renovation and careful extension, the development has transformed into a 193 bedroom 4-star plus hotel achieving a BREEAM Good rating, branded under Marriott’s Autograph Collection and includes 14 suites, a bar, restaurant and conference facilities.

The new build extension was built in an area to the rear which was the historic cell yard and the demolition of this paved way for the Provisioners restaurant and an additional 6 storeys of guestrooms.

The existing floor slabs in the former courthouse are made of clinker concrete therefore additional fire protection was added to the structure.
